Rockstar has not announced the price, the editions, or the preorder date for GTA 6. Anyone showing you a checkout page, a "confirmed" $100 price tag or a preorder link right now is guessing at best and scamming at worst. What we can do is read the pattern — Rockstar has done this dance for two decades, and the pattern is consistent.

What IS confirmed

• Launch date: November 19, 2026 — PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Our countdown tracks it live.
• No PC at launch. Based on GTA V, expect the PC release 12–18 months later.
• Nothing about price or editions has come from Rockstar or Take-Two. Every number you have seen is analyst talk or engagement bait.

What the pattern predicts on price

GTA V launched at $59.99 in 2013 — and made billions anyway. The industry baseline has since moved to $69.99, and Take-Two leadership has repeatedly called big games "underpriced" in earnings calls. The realistic read:

• Base edition: expect $69.99–$79.99. A first-ever premium base price for the biggest launch in gaming history would surprise nobody.
• Deluxe tier: Rockstar has bundled in-game money since the GTA V "Shark Card" era. Expect a deluxe with a GTA Online 2 head start around the $99 mark.
• Collector's tier: RDR2 ran a $99.99 Ultimate plus a physical collector's box. Expect the same playbook, likely higher.

When do preorders open?

Rockstar historically opens preorders after a major trailer beat, months before launch. With a November 19 date, the likely window is a summer trailer + preorder drop. The moment it goes live, this page updates and the news tracker pings the Discord.

The preorder scams already running

• "Beta access" preorders. There is no GTA 6 beta. Every site selling beta keys is a scam, full stop.
• Marketplace "early keys." No legitimate reseller has GTA 6 keys. Key-site listings before Rockstar opens preorders are fraud.
• Fake "editions" pages that harvest card details. Preorder from Rockstar, PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, or a major retailer — nowhere else.

Should you preorder at all?

Physical collectors: yes, collector boxes sell out. Digital players: there is zero scarcity in a digital preorder — waiting for the real edition breakdown costs you nothing. Put the energy into the launch-day strategy instead — the real head start is knowledge, not a 2-day-early cosmetic.
